In 2010, Tony Yu bought his first pickup truck. At that time, domestic pickup truck covers were either roughly welded tin, which always made ear-splitting noises on bumpy roads, or imported, which were ridiculously expensive and didn’t fit the dimensions of domestically produced models. Once during the rainy season, Tony discovered someproblems with the tonneau cover：

The Birth of Lespeed
After that,Tony became a “garage inventor”, along with several veteran auto mechanics and materials engineers, formed Lespeed’s initial R&D team.
Whenever they had time,they studied the cover of the pickup truck. they disassembled 7 kinds of imported covers and in order to understand the global market, they traveled across the country to personally experience the weather in various places and organize the needs of pickup truck owners.
When the first version of the cover he put together with fiberglass and aluminum alloy saved the entire car’s electronics in a rainstorm, they knew they did it.
